Shipping Policy (UK Customers)
Thank you for choosing Balloon Specialist – Rocca Fun Factory srl . We are pleased to offer shipping from Italy to the United Kingdom. Following the UK's departure from the European Union, please review our updated shipping terms to ensure a smooth delivery experience.
1. Shipping Methods & Incoterms
During checkout, you may be presented with different shipping options depending on your location and the nature of your order:
DAP (Delivered At Place) – Standard Business Shipping:
The price paid at checkout includes the cost of the goods and transportation only. Import VAT (20%), customs duties, and courier handling fees are not included. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and will be collected by the carrier (e.g., DHL, UPS, FedEx) before or upon delivery.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) – Hassle-Free Shipping:
If you select this option, the price paid at checkout includes all import taxes and customs duties. We handle all the paperwork and pre-pay the fees on your behalf. No additional charges will be requested by the courier upon delivery.
2. VAT and Customs Duties
For orders shipped under DAP terms:
Orders under £135: UK Import VAT is usually applicable and may be collected during the delivery process.
Orders over £135: Both UK Import VAT and Customs Duties (if applicable) will be assessed by UK Customs and billed to you by the courier.
Please note: Customs policies vary widely; we recommend contacting your local customs office for specific information.
3. Business Customers (B2B)
UK Business customers are encouraged to provide their EORI number and VAT registration number in the order notes. This allows for a more efficient customs clearance process and the possibility of using Postponed VAT Accounting (PVA) where applicable.
4. Processing and Delivery Times
Dispatch: Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1 to 2 business days.
Delivery: Once dispatched, shipping to the UK usually takes 2 to 4 business days, subject to customs clearance procedures which are beyond our control.
5. Tracking Your Order
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number and a link to the carrier’s website to monitor your parcel's progress.
6. Refused Shipments
If a shipment is refused due to unpaid customs charges or VAT, the package will be returned to us. In such cases, original shipping fees and any return costs incurred will be deducted from your refund.
